Founder & Director
Kate O’Shea
Kate O’Shea is a Sydney-born communications executive, entrepreneur and media personality with close to 20 years’ experience spanning luxury marketing, public relations, events and television. For the past 15 years, she has been a founder and business owner, building and scaling multiple ventures across communications, publishing, weddings and events.
Kate is the Founder and Director of KOS Communications, as well as the owner of The Wedding Series, luxury wedding and event stationery brand Paper Paper, and publisher of Love Story Magazine—a modern editorial platform celebrating weddings, destinations and considered design. Across each business, Kate is known for her discerning eye, commercial clarity and uncompromising commitment to quality.
After graduating from the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in 2008, Kate was selected by US television giant CBS as their Australian Entertainment Reporter and named the face of TV.com, a title also held by Ryan Seacrest. Her early career in television established a strong foundation in storytelling, media strategy and brand visibility on a global stage.
In 2010, Kate was appointed Australian Christian Dior Beauty Ambassador, before joining Australia’s iconic luxury pearl house, Paspaley, as Marketing and PR Manager and Brand Ambassador. She further evolved her career within the LVMH group, joining Christian Dior Couture and Dior Homme as Marketing and PR Manager for Oceania, where she played a pivotal role in the official launch of the French luxury fashion house into the Australian market. She later assumed the role of General Manager, Australia and New Zealand for Danish fine jewellery house Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen, overseeing brand strategy, market expansion and positioning across the region.
Drawing on her extensive luxury brand and event experience, Kate founded The Wedding Series, a premium platform designed to inspire, educate and deliver elevated experiences for modern couples. In 2018, she expanded this offering with the launch of The Wedding Series Agency, providing retained and project-based communications services to a select portfolio of clients.
Today, through KOS Communications, Kate works closely with founders, executives and brands as a trusted strategic partner—often operating as an extension of their leadership team. Her approach combines global brand intelligence with practical execution, delivering communications strategies that are commercially astute, creatively refined and deliberately positioned to outpace the industry.
